Colorado Traffic Deaths on the Rise

Preliminary findings show that one of Colorado's top causes of death - motor vehicle-related fatalities - rose nearly 12 percent last year, marking the first time since 2008 that more than 500 deaths have been caused by car accidents in Colorado.Specifically, data recently released from the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) indicates that there were 545 car accident fatalities in 2015, as compared to 488 deaths in 2014. In 2008, there were reportedly 548 traffic-related deaths in Colorado.
